Doing the dishes might be tough to make fun, but at least his coconut dish brush makes it more ethical! You can get fantastic cleaning performance from this handy brush and be sure you are saving on plastic waste too.
Your polluting plastic brushes will eventually wear out and head into the rubbish. Plus, small pieces end up in the water and end up down the drain, causing harm in the water as you have no doubt seen pictures of. It’s not pretty.
But, with this brush, you get all the cleaning performance, if not better. And you know any fibres breaking away will breakdown naturally being made of coconut.
Interestingly too, unlike plastic options, coconut is naturally anti-bacterial due to the oil made by the fibres. This means your coconut dish brush will be more hygienic to use.

Using and Caring for Your Coconut Dish brush
This coconut dish brush can also be utilised in a wide range of tricky kitchen jobs such as coffee-stained mugs and hard to reach glasses bottles. Not only is it biodegradable but it’s also durable.
The water-resistant qualities of the coconut fibre mean that it can be used alongside many different cleaning detergents and can cut through tough grease, removing leftover residue and mould.
To care for your dish brush it is best rinsed out after each use and stored in a place and dry area. Being naturally antibacterial, there is no need for any chemical cleaners.
The dish brush is approx 25cm long and consists of coconut husk wrapped around a stainless steel wire with an FCS (Forest Stewardship Council) approved wooden handle. It also comes in plastic-free packaging
Coconut fibre is a by-product of coconut farming and is considered sustainable using the husks from outside of a dried coconut.
Just Gaia Family Thoughts
I really love have long-lasting and sturdy this brush is, I even have a separate one to give the toilet a good clean and one for in the kitchen.
Being solid, it’s also great for the little ones to use when they want to “help” with the washing up.
