As the world of cleaning goes, being plastic free is a way to mix things up a little. If you are just starting our with these products, a coconut scrub pad is a perfect way to go.

They are a long-lasting, really high performance as a cleaning pad. Plus, they are 100% compostable.

This means you get a product that is likely BETTER than the standard plastic scouring pads we use all the time. And, unlike when plastic scrubs break down and send microplastics down the drain.

Your coconut scrub pad would just drop some natural coconut fibre into the water to compost naturally.

What’s more, these things are tough. We use them in the Just Gaia cafe on our glassware and on cleaning surfaces like our espresso machine. It really tears through the dried-on stains and dirt and leaves glass and stainless steel pristine.

Try one of these out by ordering from the options above. A large pad measures 10 x 15 x 1.5cm and suits more larger items like oven dishes or grill pans. The small is 10 x 7 x 1.5 cm and perfect for washing up general items and scrubbing down your worktops.

Ok, confession time. I was a little sceptical about these becuase they seemed quite thin and unlikely to be as effective as a traitional scouring pad.

How wrong I was!

We used some in the initial clean of Just Gaia when we first opened the shop and it tore through everything including ground on dirt, grease and even paint!
