They are created by the brilliant Steven Howarth of Trapdoor Creations, working with us right here in The Piece Hall, Halifax. Creating something truly unique from upcycled materials.

This copper bookmark is made from an old cylinder tank, shaped and designed by hand to create something unique and special with every creation.

So, if you know someone who’d love a unique gift. Or you’re looking for something special yourself for when you need to save your page, these really are the perfect solution.

Each Handmade bookmark is a one-off piece and has its own individual and bespoke qualities and may differ slightly to the pictures. But they are all as fantastic! Pop one in your basket here and collect from us in Halifax or get one delivered to your door.

Trapdoor Creations

Created by Steven Howarth, named after an old trapdoor he first started to make unique pieces from. Trapdoor creations is all about his passion to upcycle old materials into something beautiful.

The pieces are all made by hand and one of a kind. Using reclaimed wood and copper cylinder, these pieces all have a very special, unique design. All of them make for a wonderful gift or treat for yourself.

COVID-19 Pandemic Note:

While the Covid-19 situation continues we want you to feel safe visiting Just Gaia when you come to The Piece Hall.

Current status: currently we are OPEN.

Due to the release of restrictions you can visit us in The Piece Hall 7 days a week. Our latest hours are on Google but expect to be able to visit between 10am and 4pm weekdays, 10am and 5pm Saturday and 11am and 4pm Sunday.

Of course it's always a good idea to buy in advance, you can shop online and collect in store. Or, if you would like your order delivered you can both locally and nationally.

Collection and Delivery Information

Just's Gaia is here to help you go plastic-free, even if can't make it in to see us! You can use the following services:

Click and Collect - Order and checkout online securely and pick-up from Just Gaia in The Piece Hall, Halifax
Local Delivery - Zero emissions Cargobike delivery via our friends at Cargodale within HX1 to HX6
National Delivery - We will post orders around the UK for selected products - this does not currently include dry food refills.
